It’s got fresh Gotoh tuners to replace the cheesy originals, a K&K Twin Spot pickup under the hood that’s replaced the original finicky undersaddle pickup, and it’s wearing Slap Happy Weedwacker strings (nylon outers with kevlar cores) meant for upright basses. This is a righteous sound, folks — the subharmonics on this type of string is great — you get an uprighty vibe with almost a Gibson mudbucker kind-of thump.
