Benchmade's Vallation (427) folder features a CPM-S30V stainless steel blade with a harpoon tip grind. CPM-S30V is an American-made and developed premium grade stainless steel created especially for knives. It is a powdered metallurgical steel with a uniform carbide distribution and clean steel properties. This gives the blade superior corrosion resistance, toughness, and edge retention. The blade can be easily opened ambidextrously using Benchmade's snappy AXIS® Assist action by simply pressing on the thumbstuds. The Vallation takes its styling cues from their legacy line of automatic knives with a tactical, ergonomic profile. The handle is made from black anodized aluminum and features a comfortable palm swell to fill out the hand nicely. The blade can be locked either open or closed using the ambidextrous safety located on the spine.
