JS Bach Prelude and Fugue in A minor BWV 543
This is a recording of the organ in Paul Derrett’s barn at his home in East Yorkshire. He started building this organ in 2007 and the project is about half-finished, though he finds it ideal for practice purposes as it currently stands. More details can be found at http://www.paulderrett.co.uk/my_house_organ.html About half of the organ you hear came from Cheltenham Ladies College when the instrument in their Princess Hall was replaced by Kenneth Tickell and Co. in 2005. The other pipes heard here have been rescued from several redundant instruments. There are currently 49 speaking stops. This recording was made by a kind friend during a recent visit. Paul apologises for several slips in the playing and for any poor tuning you will hear. We hope you enjoy hearing it anyway! Demo recorded using Sony A5000
