FORM 2 ENGLISH GRAMMAR| PRESENT PERFECT ASPECT ♤| AUXILIARY VERBS| PAST PARTICIPLES

In this video, I am discussing how to form the present perfect aspect as well as its functions. Present perfect aspect is formed by adding the present forms of the verb 'to have' (have/has) to the past participle forms of the main verbs. It is imperative to know the corresponding subjects used with the corresponding forms of the verb 'to have ' For Example; Singular Plural Fist Person I have We have Second You have You have Third She/he/it has They have Jane/James Uses of Perfect aspect (i) Habits that began in the past and continuing presently E.g I have eaten in this restaurant since 2020 (ii) Actions that began in the past and still continues E.g I have managed this business for a long time. (iii) States that began in the past and still continues to the present. E.g I have been patient with them.
