New Ubuntu Terminal - GNOME on Xorg Vs Unity 8 on Mir performance
I uploaded this video to show you, how faster Mir and Unity 8 in general is, compared to GNOME, at least with the open NVIDIA drivers. Unfortunately Ubuntu 17.04 doesn't let me to login on GNOME Wayland session to make a comparison there too, but Wayland isn't much faster than Xorg anyway. By the way if you guys missed that, in GNOME will have NVIDIA support under Wayland, starting from GNOME 3.22!! Also I didnt get why they changed the tab system with session previews (like Terminix) ..pfff ..just a HUGE PFF!
