Kopprasch - Etude #16 (8vb) - Jon Gauer, bass trombone

In this one I forgot to hit "record" on the good mic so what you're hearing is the build-in camera mic, not the SM7B through the audio inferface - hence the audio quality not being great (womp womp). This still ended up being the take I liked so my hope is the performance outweighs the audio quality. - Jon Gauer is a Denver/Boulder area professional trombonist and educator, one who's equally at home in the jazz ensemble, symphony orchestra, brass quintet, or rock & roll band. He is a member of the Castle Rock Trombone Quartet and a variety of Denver-based jazz ensembles. He also leads a rock & roll horn section, The Horn Stars, who can be heard on recordings by The Dusty Pockets, The Hawthorne Roots, Cure for the Common, The Dust Stompers, and Umbrella Man. Prior to his career in Colorado, Gauer studied at the University of North Texas, where he was a graduate teaching fellow as well as a member of the One O'Clock Jazz Lab Band, Wind Symphony, Symphony Orchestra, and Trombone Consortium. Gauer is active in the Colorado music education community and is available for private lessons for trombone, trumpet, horn, euphonium, and/or tuba, as well as jazz improvisation and music theory. In-person lessons are available for students in Denver/Boulder; remote lessons available from anywhere in Colorado.
