Dan and Greg Martino | Everybody Wants a Martha's Vineyard Oyster
Dan and Greg Martino came to the Vineyard from Texas. In a clip from a 2021 interview, with Linsey Lee, they talk about learning from and working with local fishermen, starting their own aquaculture farm, Cottage City Oysters, and in 2014 were awarded the first grant for an oyster farm in Oak Bluffs’ history. The brothers grow oysters, clams, and seaweed on their open ocean farm in Vineyard Sound. They practice regenerative farming, a method that improves the biodiversity and chemistry of the environment.
