The Air Jordan 5 was introduced in the early 1990. Evolving the series' flight aesthetic, it was worn by Jordan for the start of the Chicago Bulls' first championship season, setting off their first three-peat, and two successive MP awards. As a result, the already-popular Jumpman logo would become a global pop cultural phenomenon, appearing on a range of coveted clothing and accessories as well as footwear. To company the Supreme/Air Jordan 5 release, Supreme has worked with Jordanbrand to create a new collection for the fall 2015. This Supreme edition of the Air Jordan 5 that is shown in this photo is dressed in a full Desert Camouflage covering the entire upper, with Supreme’s ‘SUP’ hitting the netting and the number ’94’ replacing the traditional ’23’ – which is the year the brand started, embroidered on the heel. Other details include minor hints of Black, Red shark teeth on the midsole and a 3M Reflective tongue. Supreme x Air Jordan 5 “Camo” released on Friday, October 16th exclusively online at Supreme, followed by an online release taking place soon on Nike.com/NikeLab.
