14th August 2019 - Brown Bag Seminar Presentation Title: "Stepping into Compositional Data Analysis" Topic: In statistics, compositional data are quantitative descriptions of the parts of some whole, conveying relative information. Mathematically, compositional data is represented by points on a simplex. Measurements involving probabilities, proportions, and percentages can all be thought of as compositional data. In this talk, I will present how compositional data analysis (CoDa) can be used to model physical activity data. In doing so, I will discuss some of the pros and cons of CoDa. I will also present some of the advances in the field in which I am involved.
