UWB Webinar Player identity and gender – who is possible online

On June 1, the Department of Social Sciences of the European Humanities University invites prospective students, students and everyone interested to the webinar “Player identity and gender – who is possible online?” During the webinar, Matilda Ståhl will give a presentation of her research and what implications the results have on diversity online. What identities are possible, and thereby, who is possible online. The webinar will be useful to anyone interested in video games, e-sports, gender studies. Speakers of the webinar: Matilda Ståhl – doctoral student in educational sciences at Åbo Akademi University, Finland; Alesha Serada – Ph.D. student at the University of Vaasa. A graduate of EHU; Viktoriya Kanstantsiuk – lecturer of the EHU Bachelor program “Media and Communication”. _______________________________________________________________ The project “University without borders: Promoting democratic values and dealing with disinformation through online education” aims to develop the ability of societies to resist modern disinformation by improving political, legal and media literacy through increased accessibility to higher education based on innovative teaching methods with a special focus on the development of critical thinking. The project is realized with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, acting on behalf of the Government of Lithuania. The project is run by the EHU Department of Social Sciences.
