The 16th episode of my The One Who Brings Benefit achievement run in Crusader Kings 2. For this achievement you must become the Saoshyant, which requires you to: be Zoroastrian, hold the Persian Empire, completely control the initial duchies of the Persian Empire, and have 1500 piety. This achievement is ranked as very hard by the crusader kings Wikipedia. For this run we will start as Emir Jabril of the Bajanid. We will need to expand and convert to Zoroastrianism while avoiding the Abbasid blob to the south that will seek to eliminate us from the map. ----------- A playlist with all the episodes in the series can be viewed here: Playlist coming soon. ----------- The Saoshyant is an end times figure in the Zoroastrian religion who will renovate the universe, leading to the destruction of evil and perfect harmony between humans and god. In the Avestan religion (the religion of early Iranians) it translates to “one who brings benefit.” Zoroastrianism was practiced in the Persian region since before the 5th century B.C. It is a monotheistic faith that centers around the idea of good and evil, and that a Saoshyant will arrive sometime in the future to defeat evil and bring balance between humans and god.
