Line 6 Unveils New Helix Stadium and Stadium XL
For select few music-industry people, what started as celebration of ten-year anniversary of Line 6 Helix tech on June 11, pivoted quickly to surprise introduction of upcoming Helix Stadium live-performance workstations. Helix Stadium and Stadium XL are designed around Line 6’s brand new and innovative Agoura sound engine - which promises higher fidelity, improved modeling, exceptional control capabilities and more. In this sneak peek, Line 6 design team - Chief Product Design Architect Eric Klein, Senior Director of Software Engineering Brandon Nelson and Sound Design Manager Ben Adrian - explains some of Helix Stadium’s groundbreaking upgrades, such as advanced modeling, preset Audition audio clips and Hype (morphs between authentic and idealized amp tones). Dylan Van Vleet, Pedals and Amp Buyer at Guitar Center, got early playthrough of Helix Stadium. After comparing it to original Helix, he was blown away: "Difference is clear... new Helix sounds so responsive, full and balanced. It feels like you're in room with amp, it's incredible!"
