Interloper Survival 31 - The Ravine - The Long Dark with Sprocket
Episode 31. Don't look down! The trek through The Ravine can be treacherous. Summary: We leave the fishing camp in the Coastal Highway and head for the Ravine. Along the way, we shoot a deer with the bow and catch some rabbits. We leave some guts, rabbit hides, and meat at the trailer mid-way up the hill in the Coastal Highway. Soon, we come to the Train Unloading Area and loot the trailer there. We follow the train tracks into the tunnel that leads to The Ravine. A rickety wooden trestle greets stands between us and the other side of the mountain. We cross the Raven Falls Trestle and come to a set of train tracks where trains are switched. Nearby is a cave where we catch a rabbit, take shelter, and warm up. Inside the cave is another heavy hammer that we leave behind for the future, since we already left one in the Quonset Garage and at the Old Spence Family Homestead forge. The cave is warm, but will not be much shelter for sleeping, so we press on. Darkness falls and we move quickly to get through The Ravine and arrive safely at the trailer just inside Mystery Lake. In this game, the race is on to find warm clothing, food, water, and shelter before our health drains to ZERO, all while being hunted by wild animals in a harsh survival environment.
