Glow Plug Replacement for OM617 Engine on a 1983 Mercedes W123 300D
Diesel glow plugs are a fundamental heating element that provides incoming fuel and the air required for combustion with heat to ensure efficient fuel combustion in your diesel engine. On cold days without a good glow plug you may not be able to get your car started. In this video I show how to perform maintenance replacement of the glow plugs for an OM617 Engine on my 1983 Mercedes 300D. There are different style of glow plugs throughout the W123 series, so I will not post a link to the Bosch plugs I used as you should make sure the ones you order are the ones needed for your vehicle.
