WAKING UP AMERICA FROM THE 1990s AIN'T EASY
WAKING AMERICA UP FROM THE 1990s AIN'T EASY. Doubling down on stupid, Trump seems focused on everything except America. His toothless tariffs with China only exposed how brittle the U.S. has become. Already, exceptions to much-needed Chinese electronics have suddenly been thought of and implemented. Tariffs to many other countries were quickly erased. And the 10% flat tariff can easily be brushed aside by currency manipulation. America is stuck holding a reserve currency that is turning out to be the albatross around its neck. Meanwhile, America is Rip Van Winkle slow to wake up out of the era of the 1990s. What with the constant press lockdown in the U.S. and pumping up racist language and justification, Americans might still be tempted to think that their country can call the shots. So what's next? The Duran says that war with Iran is likely. This is what I've been writing about as well, as the West's 'crusader mindset' will seek to deflect all its failures on something weaker. The only problem with that is that Iran is far from weak. If Trump is so dumb as to ignite a war with Iran, his presidency is over, and the devastation will be enormous across the Middle East. So we are left with a toxic America that lacks professionals, except when it comes to exploitation or cruelty, and Americans, most of whom live in their own echo chamber. If Trump goes ahead and greenlights the attacks on Iran, the wake-up call for the U.S. is likely to come much sooner, as Trump's constant missteps are likely to expose the gaping weaknesses in the American system, a weak set of bases highly targetable stretched around the world, and a world having high-tech weapons.
