http://www.indiegogo.com/stolenemerald Young director Céline Terranova is using the crowd-funding website Indiegogo as the platform to obtain the money necessary for her independent short film, a film which will shoot in December and aims to take the festival route once completed. The film, Sherlock Holmes and the Stolen Emerald, is a three-minute comedic short film starring Canelle Hoppé, Darryl Neville, Edward Daw and David Forde amongst others. In the film, Sherlock Holmes is not the smartest man around but just a lucky person who takes all the credit for what Watson does. The film will be silent but not in black and white, and will be set in the fictional steampunk era, with costumes and decors created by Philip Higgs (standby art director on Kick Ass and production designer on many short films). Its comedy will bring to mind the works of Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin. The cast is composed of a core ten actors as well as extras, and the crew comprises both experienced professionals and people new to filmmaking.
