Most people who are doing well in the market have got their discipline and psychology together so I would recommend this book even if its not written by a trader. This guy is in actual fact a psychologist. Scott talks about the 4 pillars of discipline; Redoing. 1) Delaying gratification - you want that gratification you get from taking money from the market but you know it is in your best interests to remain in the trade for as long as you can or for as long as your target is reached. 2) Acceptance of responsibility - I think early on in trading you understand it. Blaming the market or your broker - anyone but you and your performance. 3) Dedication to the truth irrespective if you're losing money or having big success - when people are journalling or reviewing their trades they need to be as honest as possible. 4) Balance - even if you have discipline you need some flexibility there.
