DIY: FUEL PUMP CHANGE (Toyota Yaris)
Removing a fuel pump is quick and easy. These are the following steps you should take. Step 1: remove back seat by unbolting bolts behind the front seats. Step 2: remove under carpet Step 3: disconnect the cars battery from under the bonnet Step 4: disconnect wiring from top of petrol housing Step 5: remove fuel line and pour fuel into a bottle (to prevent spillage) Step 6: unfasten fuel housing lid (use hammer if hard) Step 7: remove fuel housing Step 8: remove fuel pump from housing Step 9: remove old pump and replace with new one Step 10: re-insert fuel housing, re-insert lid, re-insert wiring, re-insert fuel lines. Step 11: close lid and return back seats The fuel housing located underneath the back seats but depending on the model year, it can be towards the left door or right rear door
