OpenWRT - Enable SSH access from Internet & Dynamic DNS configuration
In this video, we will enable SSH access to the OpenWRT router from the Internet by open the SSH port on Firewall. We will also configure the Dynamic DNS to update the router's public IP address so that we can connect to it on the go. All of the configuration is done with LuCI web interface. The tutorial consists of 3 main steps: Configure Dropbear SSH service, open SSH port on Firewall and Dynamic DNS configuration. There are other tutorials available to secure your router, such as SSH key-authenticate, enable HTTPS and how to avoid Brute-force attack with fail2ban.
