Tonight marks the opening round of the second season of the Rapid Drivers’ Club Community Super League on Assetto Corsa Competizione (PC)! Back by popular demand following a highly entertaining first season, this series shall see 11 sim-racing communities battling it out over six rounds of racing to be crowned champion come the final chequered flag. Each of the communities’ representatives shall take to the tarmac in the BMW M4 GT3, the latest arrival in the GT World Challenge paddock as of 2022. This places the emphasis on our drivers’ abilities and how they set-up their cars as they seek to score as many points as possible in each round. The series gets underway at Kyalami. Known for its sweeping sequences of corners and significant elevation change over the course of each lap, the South African circuit shall test our drivers’ ability to rotate their cars through corner apex with the aim of getting back on the throttle as soon as possible to optimise their lap time. All eyes are likely to be on S4lt Community Racing in this round as they are reigning champions from season one. However, with the return of a number of fellow competitors from the inaugural season and multiple communities fresh to the series joining for this season, the competition is sure to be fierce from the outset.
