Insanity's Brutality 3.9.1* #4 - Doom 2016 mode #2
Doomguy5th sent me his private test version tonight of his Insanity's Brutality mod - numbered 3.9.1 and this version isn't available for download, keep it in mind. There is a changelog on his moddb mod website (links below), and here are the changes that you might have noticed so far during the video: - added Repeater rifle from Doom 2016 multiplayer, dropped by Zombies - BFG Marines won't hurt you as before, the friendly fire is no longer present - Gauss Cannon's chances of spawning are increased - Added altfire for the Gauss Cannon. Like in Doom 2016, it recharges it's fire while zoomed I tested it with DOOM:ONE's 4th episode of The Ultimate Doom, the episode seems to be not working properly, thus going with that noclip stuff. Insanity's Brutality is like author described "What would happen if I ported the mod, Insanity's Requiem, into Brutal Doom". There are much more weapons with upgrades, the current test version (3.8.9) has got the Doom 2016 weapons together with some upgrades. The monsters here are much more aggressive, no more hesitating Zombies, they shoot till you are dead or out of sight. A very nice addon is that your health and armor can reach an incredibly high amounts without problems so your gameplay will be rather fast and without problems. The only problem lies in FPS drops, the framerate is lower a lot of times. Another gameplay mod like Quaker540's addon, Project Brutality (really, it started from Quaker540's addon and built it's way), and the Brutal Pack, but like Insanity's Requiem, the monsters seem a little more aggressive. Pinky Demons have a chance of leaping and eating you alive, All zombies shoot until you''re dead (yes, all of them are distinctively like the vanilla Doom chaingunner), and so forth. What's the point if you have just simply overkill monsters? Isn't there something else? This mod also features: -an arsenal just like Quaker540's addon, along with a new type of accessory, the Pipe Bomb -All sounds have been replaced or tweaked with something better -the Doomguy from Brutal Doom v16b is back -Doom 3 monster sounds, along with Trent Reznor Doom 3 Alpha commando sounds, and Killing Floor Clot sounds (irritating as hell for some, but funny as hell for others that enjoy hearing a person screaming in the bathroom) -New Pickup sounds -New sprites -Better Pickup effects for powerups -Special CVARs to improve FPS and performance (and overall, have a little fun here and there) 00:09 - Hell Beneath 05:00 - Perfect Hatred 13:36 - Sever The Wicked 24:17 - Unruly Evil 28:00 - They Will Repent 33:50 - Against Thee Wickedly 42:30 - And Hell Followed 50:00 - Unto The Cruel
