HERE'S HOW TO IMPROVE EVERYTHING: No matter how good BT's routers are, the default settings are always a little annoying and you may not be getting the best out of your router. Along with the brand new router, the BT Smart Hub, come the same old problems that we've seen before. Fortunately, fixing them is pretty easy and, with my help, you'll soon have the router working the way that you want. Connect to the web management interface First, you need to connect to the router's web management page, so that you can change the settings that you want. Make sure that your computer is connected to the Smart Hub via Ethernet or wireless, and then open up a web browser. Enter http://192.168.1.254 into the address bar to go to the management page. This will take to a status screen. To change anything you need to click one of the settings. When prompted enter the Admin password, which you can find written on the pull-out tab on the right-hand side of the router.
