Tribes and Tribulations
We believe it is key for black people to be agents in creating systemic shifts in our country to eradicate racism, and we believe that Black people engaging in direct action is a key tactic in creating this change on all fronts. And we believe that now is the time to move from abstract to action. We ask you to support: (1) The Tribes and Tribulations event where we will define the issues in African-American portrayal and discuss progress in improving how race is handled on Survivor and by television entertainment by publicizing the event throughout your networks (2) A Petition for Anti-Racism Action by Survivor Entertainment Group which outlines specific actions that Survivor producers and broadcasters can take to tackle racism in the Survivor sphere by signing the petition and also imploring others to do so.
