Cryo-EM17 lecture 08: Atomic modeling & validation - Alan Brown
Alan Brown's group's long-term goal is to understand transport mechanisms in the cell, with a particular interest in the interplay between microtubules, motor proteins, adaptor complexes and their cargoes. To do this they use a combination of structural, biophysical and biochemical techniques with an emphasis on high-resolution electron microscopy. They are also interested in developing new methods to accelerate and improve cryo-EM structure determination, in particular by improving the interpretation of cryo-EM density maps with all-atom models.
