U-splines for IGA model prep in Coreform Cubit
Coreform is bringing CAD and FEA together with its U-spline technology. U-splines are compatible with NURBS (non-uniform rational B-splines), which are used by CAD programs to define parts. They are also suitable for use directly in the next-generation FEA method called isogeometric analysis (IGA). U-splines can improve your simulations by delivering faster overall time to solution with improved accuracy. U-spline functionality is now available in Coreform Cubit 2021.11 to create IGA models. These IGA models can be exported for simulation in ANSYS LS-DYNA and in Coreform IGA.
