Classic R&B Song Drum Recording Challenge Song 1/100 Artist: Aretha Franklin Title: (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman Challenges: Tempo on slow ballads is always a challenge for me. It's easy for me to rush these slower tempos. Why am I do this 100 Classic R&B Song Drum Recording Challenge? Over the next year (July 2017 to 2018), I will be recording myself playing 100 classic R&B songs. The purpose of this challenge is to improve and simplify my groove while expanding my vocabulary. I am also looking to improve my recording techniques so I can take on more remote recording projects. What equipment am I using? I am looking for constructive feedback from Youtube musicians regarding audio quality, technical considerations (mic placement, tuning, etc), groove, intensity, etc. It would be wonderful to engage in a positive dialog to discuss techniques I could use to improve any aspects of my playing and recording. I also hope I can introduce new ideas and concepts that fellow Youtube drummers can in their quest to improve their own playing. Finally, a reference by way of a shared link, or any other mention in the social sphere to someone looking for a remote recording drummer would be greatly appreciated.
