Still in the developing stages is the upcoming horror film, Until Dawn. Produced and directed by David F. Sandberg from a screenplay by Blair Butler and Gary Dauberman, the film — based on the PlayStation video game of the same name — follows eight friends (and frenemies) who are brought together to a remote mountain retreat. With live or die scenarios featuring a mysterious killer, cannibalistic wendigos, a cable car, and a long-ago mining cave-in that reverberates into the present day, the group must fight through their fears if they all hope to make it through the night in one piece. Dauberman is also a producer on the film alongside Roy Lee, Lotta Losten, Asad Qizilbash, and Carter Swan. A joint-venture production between PlayStation Productions, Vertigo Entertainment, Mångata, and Coin Operated, the film will be released theatrically by Sony's Screen Gems.
