Living in Vancouver Downtown, Best Places for Hotels, Groceries, Walking - Canada Move Series
Hey everyone, welcome to the High on Life Channel. Moving to Canada has been a big change for us but the first 2 months living in Vancouver Downtown made it worthy. Vancouver is an amazing city to live in and the downtown location is great for short trips or for young couples. Vancouver Downtown in itself is a big area and can be broadly divided into Yaletown, West End, Stanley Park area, Waterfront Area etc. In this video, we have shared with you the areas to visit in downtown from different perspectives. Areas to Stay in Vancouver Downtown 1. Yaletown - Richards Street, Homer Street or Seymour Street are the better ones with good residential complexes but the budget is on the higher side. 2. Gas Town - This is a historic area of Vancouver downtown and has some amazing locations, restaurants and cafe. It is very close to Stanley Park and Waterfront. 3. China Town- This is a budget friendly area but it is an upcoming area with new buildings, great restaurants and good grocery stores like Costco and T&T Supermarket. 4. Waterfront - This is the most chic and luxurious area to stay in with astounding views of the mountains and the sea. 5. West End - This is the west part of the Vancouver downtown area and is home to old and new buildings. It is being redeveloped these days and has close proximity to the Stanley Park and English Bay Beach. Good Groceries to Shop in Vancouver Downtown Area 1. Costco - If you have costco membership, there is a branch in the heart of downtown in adjacent to the Stadium Chinatown sky train station. 2. T&T Supermarket - It is present in the same area as Costco and houses a lot of Asian supplies, vegetables etc. 3. No Frills - A supermarket with great deals, this is located near the English Bay beach. 4. Choices Supermarket - A great place for organic fruits, vegetables and local farmer sourced items. 5. Safeway - This is another big chain for groceries.
