For basic recording setup, you'll need something like equipment shown in above image. Firstly, mic will capture sound of your voice, instrument etc. This needs to be connected to audio interface, via XLR cable. This interface is connected to your laptop/computer, usually via USB. Then, signal will reach Ableton Live, once it's been set up correctly. Once we've recorded our audio, we can again manipulate this using the powerful Simpler device.
