They make the decision to go around to see if they can locate any supplies or survivors who can assist them. They run into hostile human factions and the infected as they explore the hamlet. The survivors must avoid these threats while looking for allies. The survivors encounter Harlow, a mystery figure who claims to know how to leave the island, while they are exploring. Harlow emerges as a possible ally and offers the group important knowledge on the island's mysteries and perils. As the survivors explore the island further, they come into a military presence that appears to be carrying out research into the zombie epidemic. They learn that the military is trying to weaponize the infected, resulting in the emergence of a brand-new generation of potent and lethal zombies. The survivors must overcome a variety of obstacles during Chapter 2, including rescuing imprisoned people, gathering supplies, and fending off dangerous humans and zombies. Additionally, they must contend with the unpredictable weather patterns and the ongoing dangers of weariness and dehydration. The survivors successfully build a base in Henderson and develop it into a fortified outpost at the end of the chapter.
