Optoma’s LED display illuminates atrium at Jisc HQ
Jisc, a not-for-profit organisation working on behalf of UK higher, further education and skills sectors to champion the use of digital technology by providing digital services and solutions, recently moved from their Castlepark location in Bristol to a new office in Portwall Lane. As part of the move, they called upon the expertise of AV integrators and collaboration specialists Visavvi for the entire audio-visual kit out. One aspect of the new office was an atrium. Adam Williams, Senior IT engineer at Jisc said, “It will be a brilliant space for our staff. Also, with Jisc being a membership organisation, this will be a great benefit to our members who can use the space free-of-charge as and when they need it.” Visavvi installed the Optoma Full HD LED display, the FHD20422 - a 4 metre wide 2mm pixel pitch LED display, to be the main centre piece for the space. With support from Optoma’s ProDesign team, it took Visavvi only three days in total to mount the LED display. UUK (Universities UK) used the space for an event and left excellent feedback: “Just wanted to thank you for the great work in making yesterday’s event such a success. Everything ran smoothly and on time.” Adam Williams added, “Looking at the space as a whole, it’s looking absolutely spot on, the screen fits the wall exactly how we wanted it to, leaving a small edge around it - it’s the centrepiece of that room”.
