ML320 PUSH BUTTON START
THE WHY AND HOW of the push button ,... The why,.. my 20 year old ML was re-keyed,, The "new" keys are flimsy.. I'm scared that I might break them off at any time, when turning it over to start.. With the "push button", the keys aren't put under any kind of return spring pressure.. To quote my wife: "I LOVE IT"... The how,... The push button I got off "fee-bay".. The side panel snaps right off ..exposing the column harness.. Parallel the switch with the #2 ON position wire (PINK) (12 V) with start signal wire (WHITE) from the key switch... There are two main harness that run right behind where I have the switch... You'll have to signal trace back to the key switch because there are several pink and white wires in those two harness.. Two wires and a SPST MC contact switch... that's it...
