CUBA - Things You Need To Know Before Traveling
In this video we are going to explore some basic things you need to know before traveling to Cuba. ☑️ WHERE IS CUBA Cuba is an island country located between the Atlantic ocean, the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico Cuba is the largest country by land area in the Caribbean and the seventeenth-largest island in the world. With an estimated population of 11.49 million, Cuba is the 77th most populous country in the world. ☑️ OFFICIAL LANGUAGE Cuban Spanish is the official language and most spoken language in Cuba with an estimated 11 million native speakers. Cuban Spanish is a variant of the Spanish language and shares many characteristics with other varieties of Spanish spoken in the region. ☑️ CUBAN CORAL REEF Communist regime and embargo imposed by the USA separated Cuba from the rest of the World. The isolation had many negative effects on the standard of life of the Cuban people, but because of the isolation environment and underwater life stayed practically intact. More than 2/3 of corals in the Caribbean has died because of the pollution, rising ocean temperature, and overfishing. However, Cuban coral reef is still growing! ☑️ HAVANA Havana is the capital, the largest city in Cuba. 2.1 mil people live in Havana. Walking down the streets of Havana, the old-timers and architecture from the golden era will make you feel like you went 60 years back in time. If you are visiting Cuba for the first time you must visit Havana! ☑️ VINALES VALLEY Vinales Valley is an agricultural area where vegetables, fruit, tobacco, and coffee are grown by traditional methods. ☑️ VISA Regular tourists require a Tarjeta de Turista (tourist card), valid for 30 days and usually provided with your flight package. ☑️ WEATHER IN CUBA WINTER / SPRING Cuba’s tourist high season is during its drier season from December through mid-April.
