Fantasia 35 in Ferrara

Check out my patreon page and help support independent music: http://www.patreon.com/vinceconaway I was in sixteenth-century garb in a city legendary for its renaissance music, so of course I had to record some Francesco Canova (1497-1543)! My favourite composer, his music is a delight to play and adapts readily to the dulcimer. I was shocked to discover I hadn’t released any recordings of this tune on Patreon and I decided to correct that omission. I’m playing in a pitch I’d never tried before, but where I’d seen buskers in years past. The acoustics were amazing, surrounded by 14C brickwork, but the ambient noises such as the air brakes of passing busses are similarly amplified. Still, it was a fun little set to play and a pitch I will likely revisit. Thank you so much to Tiffany Hubert for capturing the video!
