It is part of the Office of Ethnic Affairs project called 'Building Bridges' run in partnership with the Federation of Islamic Associations of New Zealand and others in the Muslim community. The project is focused on building bridges from the Muslim community to the wider community, to promote respect, understanding and inclusion of Muslims in all aspects of New Zealand life.
