Denise Littlefield is a 51 year old mother of three. She is a Nana, a sister, a friend, and a survivor of domestic abuse. Denise first experienced the abuse as a witness to her mother being verbally mentally and physically abused by the hands of her stepfather. However, the abuse came to an abrupt end one night when her stepfather was driving drunk and slammed his vehicle into a bridge killing two people, one of them being Denise‘s mother. Denise was six years old, her mother was 29. After this horrific situation, she was adopted by her mother’s parents and was raised and taught to be a strong, independent, loving, hard-working woman.
