Rollout of renewables ‘proceeding at pace’ in Australia
Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek says the rollout of renewables is “proceeding at pace” in Australia. Ms Plibersek spoke at Question Time on Wednesday to give the latest updates on the government’s continued push towards renewables. “In fact since coming to government we have ticked off more than 45 renewable energy projects,” she said. “I have another 128 before me for assessment. “The great news is of those 45 renewable energy projects that we’ve already ticked off, that’s enough to power about 2 and a half million Australian homes.”
