Install Android Oreo on Mi4i with TWRP Recovery 2018
THIS IS A VIDEO TUTORIAL FOR HOW TO INSTALL LINEAGE OS 15 8.0.0 OREO ROM BASED ON ANDROID 8.0 OREO AKA ANDROID O ON Xiaomi MI 4I AND XIAOMI MI 4C. *****it just for people to have a taste of the OS and hence use it at your own risk. Do not dislike this video saying stuff doesn't work after flashing****** Android Oreo Lineag OS 15 ROM for Xiaomi MI 4I AND XIAOMI MI 4C is now available via a development version. THIS IS AN INITIAL BETA BUILD OF ANDROID OREO (Android 8.0), WHICH MAY HAVE SOME MINOR BUGS. BACKUP THE CURRENT ROM BEFORE FLASHING AND TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK. Status of ROM: What's working : Boots RIL (Calls, SMS, Data) Wifi Bluetooth Camera Video Playback Audio ( Record and Playback ) Sensors Flash Led GPS Video recording Hardware Buttons What's not working : Hotspot SELinux is permissive It's entirely possible that features not used by me are broken, but overall the device should be usable. You have been warned. How to install: Install latest TWRP - Download the latest build - Download Gapps - Take a nandroid backup - Full wipe and factory reset - Flash ROM using latest TWRP 3.x Recovery - Flash Gapps - Reboot. - Enjoy!
