AAAND ACTION! A European film competition for school students 2022
JEDER MENSCH e.V. is sending out a call to schoolchildren from all over Europe for a film competition! Do you want to change something? Do you have a lot of strong ideas? Whether as a small group or as an entire school class, get behind those cameras! The topic is the six new Fundamental Rights for Europe. You can find out exactly what that's all about on this page. Now it's your turn: AAAND ACTION! The topic Ferdinand von Schirach is a lawyer and one of the most famous writers in Germany. In his book 'Jeder Mensch' ('every person'), he proposes six new fundamental rights for the European Union. These address major and, above all, topical issues of our time, such as the environment and the Internet. JEDER MENSCH e.V. is working to implement these ideas for fundamental rights in order to advance Europe. Why have new fundamental rights at all? We all have laws that we have to obey. On the other hand, we have fundamental rights. That means that the state is bound by certain rules in relation to us. There are very old fundamental rights. For example, no one can be locked up without good reason and without a court having reviewed everything. A more recent fundamental right is the right to data protection, which has become particularly important due to the development of the Internet. But our world is developing rapidly. In the past, nobody could have imagined how important the Internet and artificial intelligence would one day be. The climate crisis is the greatest challenge of our time. Politicians like Donald Trump lie like crazy. And global trade ensures cheap products, but also terrible working conditions in poorer countries. The old fundamental rights do not offer any answers to these new challenges. We therefore propose six new fundamental rights.
