Player Piano Roll - The Rose Of Washington Square
Here is another one of the reasons piano rolls by Mr. Pete Wendling have such a broad appeal. This original title from 1920 was performed by many, and later made into a musical production on broadway. This is an early prodcution run roll of this tune and has two sets of lyrics... the standard one on the left and the "comedy" (read that naughty one) on the right. The roll runs around 5 minutes in length and I am appologizing ahead of time for the roll slippage during the production of this video. Try as I may I could not keep this from happening duing any run, and is due to the length of the roll and paper quality. In his usual fashion Pete winds up with an incedible LAST chorus... Relax and enjoy one of Pete's and QRS's best, as performed on my 1925 Stroud Duo Art Pianola.
