Let’s Play BG2 EE #172: The Final Seal

We have all three keys to unlock the final seal and get to the Imprisoned One, but there’s one more challenge that stands between us and what is locked up deep within this dungeon. Well, I say one but it’s more accurate to say three. The fact that inserting the keys into the locks doesn’t unlock them but does provide you with experience and a warning about unlocking the lock should have alarm bells sounding off in your head and with good reason. Using each of the keys on the respective locks unleashes an encounter that you have to overcome, one powerful enough to take out our entire team even with all our levels and equipment. We’re going to need to do a lot of buffing, employ carefully thought out strategies and have no small amount of luck if we’re to prevail here, for the game pulls no punches with these battles. You may be wondering if it’s possible to turn all three keys in quick succession and battle all three groups at once. I’ve never been crazy enough to try, but I imagine the game would let you be so foolish if you wished to.
