Update on my Uniden Bearcat BCT15X scanner radio and your questions answered. Police band scan. Uniden Bearcat BCT15X is connected to the discone antenna on my roof top with 75 feet of LMR 240 coax cable. My initial impression of this radio, it has a huge learning curve, there is a lot to learn about this radio, even to get up running. This radio is a big step up from my first base station scanner radio the Uniden Bearcat BCN355N. For the beginner I would recommend the Uniden Bearcat BCN355N.
