Дубоссары - древний город на Днестре, напротив впадения крупнейшего притока - Реута и у начала самой большого меандра (излучины). Знаменит своей гидроэлектростацией и чудесным винодельческим заводом "Букет Молдавии". Однако исследования последнего десятилетия показывают, что это совершенно уникальное место не только в Молдавии, Северо-Западном Причерноморье, но и во всей Центральной и Восточной Европе. В результате комплексных геоархеологических исследований здесь, в древних террасах Днестра была обнаружена палеолитическая стоянка Олдованской культуры возрастом 1,1 млн. лет и, вероятно, древнейшая на планете мастерская. Об этом увлекательно рассказывает один из авторов крупнейшего научного открытия доктор географических наук Андрей Леонидович Чепалыга. Famous for its hydroelectric power and wonderful winery "Bouquet of Moldova". However, studies of the last decade show that this is a completely unique place not only in Moldova, the Northwest Black Sea Region, but also in the whole of Central and Eastern Europe. As a result of complex geoarchaeological research, here, in the ancient terraces of the Dniester, the Paleolithic site of the Oldovan culture was discovered, 1.1 million years old, and probably the oldest workshop on the planet. This is interestingly told by one of the authors of the largest scientific discovery, Doctor of Geographical Sciences Andrei Leonidovich Chepalyga.
