"Not tonight," he replies. Don Draper is the Creative Director at the Sterling Cooper advertising agency Sukiyaki by Kyu Sakomoto, a hauntingly beautiful and memorable song, definitely appropriate for the setting. The only problem is that the song was not released in the U.S. until May 1963, and reached Number on on Billboard in June 1963. Although it was released in Japan in 1961, seems nearly impossible that it would have been background music at a NY restaurant anytime before May of 1963. Elizabeth Tsing is the waitress I believe...
