Canon printhead in pieces to find error
Dismantled printhead and carrier of Canon MP610 multifunction printer. The printer was displaying 'wrong printhead error'.....,and other messages suggesting a new printhead was needed. Before scrapping it I dismantled it to see what electronics was producing this erroneous message. The printhead carrier was where the electronics were located and would be difficult and expensive to replace.I suggest not buying a new printhead as that is not the problem, it is in the electronics config in the carrier. Whether it is planned obsolescence only Cannon knows and is not saying.
