Benchmark: Single vs Dual Channel Ram with HD4000 Integrated Graphics (T430)
I wanted to see how much of a gain I would see with dual channel ram vs single channel ram. 3DMark06 scores went from 4300 to 6200, so definitely a big boost for my Steam games. It is unlikely that the extra ram made the difference, since I already had 4gb. But rather, having ram in dual channel configuration makes this change since my graphics subsystem uses the system ram as video memory. My next video will have 2x2gb to prove this.
