Tesla Gigafactory Texas 9 March 2022 Cyber Truck & Model Y Factory Construction Update (07:15AM)

Gigafactory Texas on 9 March 2022! This is where the Cyber Truck and Model Y will be built! We start off today looking inside the Stamping machine structure where we see a lot of progress assembling the AIDA stamping press and concrete work on a new isolation foundation in the center bay area. We then tour the far southeast area across the Colorado River to see if any preliminary work has started for the 220,000 Sq Ft warehouse that was permitted to begin in June (no progress observed today). We also see a lot of work all over the site getting things ready for the grand opening on 7 April. Timestamps: Additional Giga Fest information: 0:06 to 1:02 Drone flight highlights with discussion & illustrations: 1:03 to 3:45 Giga Texas Stamping Machine Interior looks: 4:12 to 7:56 Drone flight footage & infographics: 7:57 to 27:16 Here are some more highlights from today: - We start off looking inside the stamping machine structure and see quite a bit of progress, as well as many rolls of steel used for stamping out body parts. We see the AIDA stamping press is mostly assembled now and likely initial testing and calibration has begun. - We tour the far southeast area across the Colorado River where Tesla recently purchased a horse ranch and we saw a permit to begin constructing a 220,000 Sq Ft warehouse in this area with a start date of June 2022. - We return to the south area where we see Model Y’s arranged on the phase 2 parking area and a new Supercharger installation near the south wall of the General Assembly structure. It appears more concrete work will be accomplished in this general area soon. - On the west side, concrete has been poured into the long trenches that go north to south along the main roadway. It appears this will be an area for light poles, so we should see these installed soon. - Solar panel installation on the roof has not progressed much in the past few days, but there is a crane near the west wall by the installation area, so we may see a new delivery of solar panels arriving soon, which will allow work to resume. Unlike what some have said, there is not an endless amount of solar panels, but there will be a lot of them. - The northwest corner work continues, with concrete walkways now poured along the entire length of the corner area. We also see a new temporary fence around what remains of the temporary filtration system next to the battery cell structure. - The north end of the battery cell structure is getting wall panels installed where the temporary loading platforms used to be located. - Also north of the paint shop, we see the storm water pipe that had floated up has been removed and re-installed, and now has a concrete layer poured over the top. - The entrance area of Tesla Road near the north bridge is getting some of the central median ripped up, possibly to reconfigure as part of a plan change. We see earthmoving equipment near this area. - The east parking area has another large area paved and now in active use as a parking lot for crews. The security entrance area has been relocated to the south end of this new parking area, and the lot has been fenced off as well. The northeast section looks to be close to be getting additional paving to extend the parking lot north, and the west side looks to be close to paving. - The central material staging and trailer area, where the original battery cathode plant foundation was started is now a parking lot and many more cars and trailers are visible in the fenced off section now. Rumors of this changing and the relocation of the battery cathode plant farther north appear to be correct but will continue to monitor. - Finally, the far northeast clearing area, where the battery cathode plant id rumored to have been relocated shows a lot of progress raising and levelling out the grade.
