National Islamic Charitable Foundation “Yardem” – is unique organization, that became famous far beyond the Republic of Tatarstan. By 2007 foundation actively participates in disabled persons’ life. The largest realized project is the work on social adaptation of blind and partially sighted persons. In rehabilitation center of “Yardem” foundation people, that lost sight have possibility to pass month course to return to life. Foundation provides them free accommodation, food and treatment. After courses of rehabilitation people find job, raise families, and get all necessary for having normal social live. The area of work covers wheelchair disabled, people with cerebral palsy, hearing impaired, deaf, people with Down’s syndrome. Beyond people with limited capacity, foundation actively carries out rehabilitation for drug alcohol and game addicts. More than hundred low-income families elderly people are In the custody of foundation. The Foundation holds different charity events. Every week foundation feeds homeless and low-income people. Great attention is focused on work in the detention centers. One of the priority areas for “Yardem” foundation is orphan children. In 2014 the “Yardem” foundation established house “Family hearth”, where children which were left without custody are raised. This house is positioned as alternative to orphanages, where example of solving orphan hood is presented. Also important project for foundation is dormitory for boys at one of the Tatarstan districts. Religious education, according to ancestors’ tradition was given in childhood, and dormitory graduates are the future Islamic scientists and theologians. All unique accomplishments, that “Yardem” foundation could achieve would not be possible without support and reverent participation of Maecenas, volunteers and just involved people.
