Enable 10 bit monitor - YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wy67oUUdZp4 Transcript: (00:01) hey what's going on guys so recently i got a new monitor an lg 27 vn 950 and it's a 10 bit monitor but when i first got it i could not figure out how to get the 10 bit to work it it was uh showing it was an eight only eight bit uh i looked over all over youtube i couldn't find the answer but after i after a couple days of playing with it i finally figured it out and i thought i'd make a video um in case you're having that same issue okay so i got me to disappear so here's my desktop i'm going to right click on (00:34) the desktop here and go down to where it says display setting settings we'll click on that okay and this number two right here is my monitor i'll scroll down to the bottom you can see my resolution we'll continue to the bottom advanced display settings we'll click on that okay at the top here we can choose display and it's the 27 gn 950 so we'll make sure that's selected bit depth right here says 8 bit well i spent a bunch of money on this monitor for 10 bit so what the heck and the answer for that is we'll go back (01:11) to the desktop and we'll right click on it and i'm going to go to nvidia control panel there it is i have an nvidia graphics card so i'll be using this if you have radeon or something similar i'm sure this settings will be similar as well so on the left upper left here for me is the uh display and under display is change resolution and you can see these are my monitors here um and my lg 27 that's the monitor that's in question uh so when you first hook this up chances are under apply the following (01:49) settings the number three right here um it says use default color setting what we want to do is use the nvidia color setting like this and output color depth it says eight bit eight pc it's eight bit um anyway when it changes like 10 just like that click apply there we go watch her twitch for a little bit oh there she goes and just like that all right and then we go back to our advanced display settings over here on this side you see bit depth 10 bit we did it so all right i hope that helped you guys out if so uh (02:30) great and um then we'll see you next time all right bye
