ZeroChroma Keyboard Slide-Lid Case for iPad Air/Air 2: Innovative Bluetooth Keyboard Case!
The ZeroChroma Keyboard Slide-Lid Case for iPad Air/Air 2 combines an innovative iPad Air/Air 2 case design with a thin, detachable Bluetooth keyboard for a winner of a Bluetooth keyboard case. Charging via an included micro-usb cable, the keyboard is good for 60 hours of uninterrupted use or 100 days on standby. Pros: 1. Keys have a nice feel to them and everything works well. 2. The portion of the keyboard not housing the keys is made of a soft touch microfiber which is pleasant to the touch. 3. Pairing is easy and I had no need to re-pair once paired. 4. Keyboard is easily attached and detached via the slide track on the iPad case. 5. 360 Degree Any Angle stand on the iPad case portion works extremely well and allows you to put your iPad in a wide number of stable viewing angles. 6. If you already have the ZeroChroma Folio-Slide case for your iPad Air or Air 2, you can choose to buy only the Keyboard Slide-Lid, saving yourself $30. Cons: 1. The keys in the top row, where the backspace and number keys are located, are smaller than the other keys. To me, this was vaguely unsettling as I typed and I would ideally prefer if they were the same size as the other keys. However, their functionality was not affected. 2. The stand function works best if you are using it on a table or other broad, flat surface. If you are using it on your lap, you have to position it such that the stand has something to rest on (i.e., on one leg or another), as the stand doesn’t go all the way across the case’s back. This is a trade-off; if the stand went all the way across the back of the case, such as the stand on the Typo Keyboard Case does, then it would not be able to rotate and give you both landscape and portrait functionality. 3. There is no closure mechanism to keep the case shut when not in use, nor is there an auto sleep-wake functionality. Conclusion: The ZeroChroma Keyboard Slide-Lid case is innovative, falrly priced and gives you a lot of functionality. It is great to have the ability to use the Bluetooth keyboard in both attached and detached mode, and the 360 Any Angle stand is simply awesome.
